Stroke Care

It's important to know that having a stroke increases your risk of having another stroke or even a heart attack. In fact, research shows that people who have had a stroke face a 9 times greater risk of having another stroke, and a 2 times greater risk of having a heart attack compared with the general population. That's because the direct cause of most strokes is the same as that of a heart attack: clot formation triggered by the rupture of plaque (a buildup of cholesterol and other materials) inside the walls of the arteries.

If you've recently had a stroke, you're probably focused on improving your physical abilities. Fortunately, there are many options including physical, occupational, and speech-language therapy. Many stroke patients are left with a disability, but 50% to 70% of stroke survivors regain functional independence.

One Call Homecare Network is here to help your family member regain their strength and ability to perform everyday tasks. Stroke care private duty nurses and nurse aides are available through our network. If you have a family member who needs a private nurse or nurse aide in South Florida we can help. We cover Aventura, Hallandale, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Delray Beach and West Palm Beach..
